She obtained her pharmacological chemistry degree from the University of California, and then pursued her dental degree and graduated from dental school at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, South Florida. She completed her general practice residency at the Montefiore Medical Center, in Bronx, New York for a year and started working as a professional dentist in a group practice in Orlando for three years.
