Method and basis
- The base is every active, de-duplicated clinic listed in San Francisco on October 21, 2026. Closed and duplicate listings are excluded.
- Hours measures use the 360 clinics with posted hours, from Google Business data and clinic websites. “After 6pm” means closing after 6:00 pm on at least one weekday.
- Emergency care, same-day appointments, new-patient status and coverage come from clinic websites and clinic-submitted profiles. A clinic without that fact on file is counted as not offering it.
- Specialists come from named-dentist records with a specialty title. Few clinics have these records yet.
- Numbers are recalculated with each weekly data update. This page shows the latest figures for the year in its title.
