"Dr. Giorgio Petricca and his team at the Periodontal & Implant Clinic, Nanaimo have been helping to protect and preserve the oral health of patients from Nanaimo and surrounding areas since January, 2008. Dr Petricca is a certified specialist in Periodontics. To be a certified dental specialist a dentist must undergo post-dentistry graduate training, then pass both an oral and written national exam from which the credentials, RCDC, is obtained. Periodontics includes the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infections and diseases of oral soft tissue and bone.
