Gary W. Mayfield DDS

"Hi, I'm Gary Mayfield. I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up in Alvin and graduated from Alvin High School in 1976. I attended University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 1980. When I was interviewing for dental school, I was asked, "Why do you want to be a dentist?" I told them that I had a lawn mowing business when I was in college and I knew I wanted to work for myself, but I also knew I didn't want to work outside mowing lawns all the time because it's too hot. I liked science, I enjoyed working with my hands and I liked people so dentistry seemed a good fit. Little did I know that it would be a career that I would love. I graduated from UT San Antonio Dental School in 1984."
