"Dr. Varkey is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Dental County Dental Society, Oakcliff Dental Study Club, and American Dental Student Association. During his spare time, he plays cricket and spends time with his wife, Smitha, and children, Emily, Evelyn, and Elijah.

Dr. Varkey has a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry from the College of Dental Surgery, Manipal, India 2002. He also has extensive training performing aesthetic, complex orations and comprehensive family dentistry including oral surgery and implant placement. He has also volunteered in the rural areas of India to provide dental care to local children."
